More Pakistanis Dealing Fake Viagra in UK

21 01 2008

viagra-crime-scene

A recruitment firm manager who sold fake Viagra over the internet was ordered today to carry out 250 hours of community service.

Father-of-four Mohammed Azim Dad, 30, of Slough in Berkshire, admitted three counts of selling erectile dysfunction medicines with false trademarks. Dad made up to $12,000 of profit selling Viagra, Cialis and Levitra made by unauthorised manufacturers in China, Reading Crown Court was told.

He was caught out by undercover investigators working for the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). Officers posing as customers received the counterfeits from Dad at a meeting in Hayes, west London and later sent by courier to Oxford, the court was told.

Judge May-Jane Mowat, passing sentence, said: “It seems to me that selling fake medical products, bypassing the prescriptive process, makes these offences more serious than selling fake CDs, handbags or whatever it may be.” Remarking that Dad had a business degree and British pharmaceutical qualifications, she added: “You knew exactly what you were doing.”

In another case, a pharmacist who imported more than $200,000 worth of fake Viagra tablets into the UK was told by a judge today that he faced a “substantial” fine. Hitendra Patel, 41, shipped over thousands of the impotency pills from Pakistan which he sold on for profit. A court heard that co-defendant Shaan Hussain, 30, acted as a “broker” to sell the drug to interested buyers.

These two got off light, imo.

FDA Warns Against Chinese-Made Supplements Containing Sildenafil Citrate From Unsafe Sources

16 01 2008

buy-viagra-drug-warning

WASHINGTON - Some Chinese-made dietary supplements marketed to provide male sexual enhancement contain undeclared erectile dysfunction drugs (Sildenafil citrate, the active ingredient in Viagra), putting users at risk, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warned Friday.

The agency advised consumers to stay away from Shangai Chaojimengnan supplements sold under the names

  • Super Shangai
  • Strong Testis
  • Shangai Ultra
  • Shangai Ultra X
  • Lady Shangai
  • Shangai Regular.

The Chinese-made supplements are packaged and distributed by Shangai Distributor Inc. of Puerto Rico.

Product testing indicated that some of the so-called supplements contain Viagra’s active ingredient, sildenafil, or a compound with a chemical structure that mimics sildenafil.

So, not only are you risking buying something that might have zero active ingredients and zero benefit to you, you also buying something that could make you sick or could be an overdose of who-knows-what.

32 Year Old, Akron, Ohio man Pleads Guilty To Selling Fake Viagra In International Viagra Scam

30 12 2007

ohio-man-federal-prison-fake-counterfeit-fake-viagra

An Akron man busted for distributing counterfeit erectile dysfunction drugs is headed for the federal penal system.

Ryan Wheele, 32, was sentenced Friday in federal court to 30 days in prison for participating in an online pharmacy scam that delivered the prescription drugs through the mail. - ohio.com

According to court records, Wheele was paid $15 per order and made $12,000 between December 2005 and June 2006, ok, so he made about $2,000/mo.

Wheele was not an internet marketer. He was a puppet of some foreign Sildenafil citrate marketers that were obtaining the orders and the pills. The foreigners, not named in the news report, would send the pills and a list of customers to Wheele and he would repackage the pills as Viagra, Levitra, or Cialis. Wheele then shipped the orders to customers all around the United States from his Akron, Ohio location.

I guess Mr Wheele thought the US postal workers were sort of stupid and would not notice all those packages coming from his address. Well, the US postal workers contacted the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Drug Enforcement Administration. In short time, they searched Wheele’s house and found 50,000 Sildenafil citrate pills being sold as fake Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra.

I think he got off easy with just 30 days. Seems that he broke several federal laws, including mail fraud.

WOMENRA, female viagra is scientifically formulated to provide intense sexual satisfaction for women seeking ultimate pleasure

18 12 2007

buy-viagra-drug-warning

While different new versions of female viagra (aphrodisiacs) may be coming soon, Womenra may be fake and claims not substantiated.

A new project called Womenra (Sildenafil) is in the market providing medical pills for women for sexual arousal. We visited Womenra’s website and found the following information.

“WOMENRA is scientifically formulated to provide intense sexual satisfaction
for women seeking ultimate pleasure. WOMENRA works by increasing genital
blood flow and vaginal compliance resulting in intensified pleasure during
sexual activity.”

- emaxhealth.com

Buzzfeed: A sketchy version of viagra for women highlights the search for female arousal. Womenra, as far as we can tell, is a total fake, but there will likely soon be several versions of women’s viagra available.

Womenra is just Sildenafil citrate, nothing more.

There have been many tests to determine if Sildenafil citrate would increase a women’s sexual arousal, pleasure, etc, etc, including clinical trials by Pfizer. All results failed.

From womenra.com website: “We are based in United Kingdom * UK and we are a International pharmacy that sources all medication from countries worldwide to guarantee the safest and lowest prices online.”

They are saying that they obtain the sildenafil citrate from countries all around the world. Which means they are probably purchasing at the lowest possible prices with little or no regard for quality control. They claim their pharmacy is in London , but this Pakistani women said the same thing.

Becareful, there is a lot of counterfeit viagra moving around the world.

There are even organized crimes groups (viagra gangs) involved in Viagra world trade.

He Didn’t Know Fake Viagra is Illegal

15 12 2007

Graeme Carlton, a British businessman, launched his online shop selling Kamagra (Vigara or actually Sildenafil citrate), in March and ran it from his home for two years before it came to the attention of the Department of Health.

Officials trapped him by buying the fake Viagra tablets through the website.

Officers found a room had been converted into an office and a large amount of kamagra (fake Viagra) - both pills and jelly - was discovered along with a credit card machine. The court was told this week that 1,872 tablets worth around 4,700 pounds were seized together with piles of paperwork detailing fake Viagra sales amounting to 2,250 pounds.

Carlton claimed he did not know he was breaking the law by selling them when the police raided his home in Hartlepool.

But Judge Tony Briggs told Carlton: “You are obviously a mature, intelligent and experienced man and I have to say I don’t, at first sight, entirely accept that you were not aware there was a risk in selling this sort of stuff.

Uxbridge, west London Fake Viagra Operation

14 11 2007

viagra-woman-jailed

Is this your pharmacist?

A Pakistani woman living in London who supplied tens of thousands of fake Viagra pills has been jailed for two-and-a-half years. Shazia Amjad is expected to be deported to Pakistan on her release.

Shazia Amjad, 39, boxed and packaged the drugs in the garden shed of her home in Uxbridge, west London. When police raided it last November they found fake Viagra and other counterfeit medicines worth more than £250,000. Three types of erectile dysfunction tablet, slimming pills, pain killers and anabolic steroids were found by City of London officers when they raided Amjad’s shed.

Evidently, Ms Amjad had an accomplice in Pakistan that actually obtained the Viagra order with an online generic viagra pharmacy then forwarded the viagra orders to Ms Amjad in London. She then packaged and shipped the orders. The London postmark gave the packages the look of respectability.

Viagra Counterfeiters at Pharmaceutical Trade Shows

24 10 2007

Rise in counterfeit medications.

counterfeit-viagra-chart

“Criminal gangs are now so sophisticated that they buy the same packaging equipment as drug companies and even attend trade fairs, explains Eric Noehrenberg, of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations.” - dailymail.co.uk

It’s astonishing! Criminals attending trade fairs, but that’s the internet nowadays. Fake medicines are worth billions of dollars a year. Popular drugs for impotency and hair loss are major markets, but not the only ones.

In Europe, in 2005 there were half a million single doses of fake medicines discovered; in 2006 that figure shot up to 2.5million. The World Health Organisation (WHO) now estimates that up to 50 per cent of drugs bought online are fakes.

Why is the fake Viagra problem more intense in Europe?

European law allows licensed traders to buy and sell medicines freely.

“People can buy and sell medicines like any other commodity, the same rules that govern the trading of soft drinks and jeans apply to pharmaceuticals. It’s a free-for-all at present and not safe for the supply of medicines.” - Julian Mount for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Worldwide.

Good Luck With That System!

Viagra Information :: New Laser Technology Detects Fake Viagra!

8 10 2007

laser-detection

Recently a gang of fake Viagra gangsters were caught and locked up in prison for several years for supplying fake Viagra pills

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the market for counterfeit drugs, including fake viagra, worldwide is estimated at around $43 billion.

Thanks to research into laser technology, soon we will be seeing more of these fake viagra gangs put behind bars.

Researchers at TeraView (Cambridge, England) are using terahertz technology to help regulatory authorities, law-enforcement agencies, and the pharmaceutical industry screen for fake viagra and other counterfeit drugs.

The study detected variations in the thickness and uniformity of fake viagra tablet coatings from products bought over the Internet. Terahertz imaging can produce a 3-D “fingerprint” of a fake viagra tablet, which is compared with a database of such fingerprints from known manufacturers.

For example, trials of the technique have proved in principle that the laser can tell real antimalarial medicines from fakes, suggesting that it could play a major role in controlling one of the world’s most significant counterfeiting rackets. Between 50 and 90 per cent of malaria medicines sold in some African countries are thought to be fake, and account for up to 20 per cent of deaths from the disease.

The new imaging technique can pick up the characteristic light signature of fake viagra and other pharmaceuticals’ active chemical ingredients through glass, plastic and cardboard. The laser system, will be developed as a desktop or hand-held device. Experts agree that this technique will soon be used to monitor the growing problem of fake viagra and other “lifestyle drugs”.

Lengthy prison sentences for the fake Viagra gangsters

29 09 2007

Millions of men suffer from Erection Problems and out of desperation they turn to the wonder drug from Pfizer and they Buy Viagra.

These men depend on the product they are buying to be the real Viagra manufactured by Pfizer but lurking in the seedy underworld is a network of people whom will lie, cheat, steal to con you out of your money.

These people are the Fake Viagra hustlers we have seen in our email inbox every morning and constantly through the day.

Recently a gang of fake Viagra gangsters were caught and locked up in prison for several years for supplying fake Viagra pills to unsuspecting men with erectile dysfunction whom thought they were getting real Viagra.

Below is a picture of the kind of environment where fake Viagra is manufactured.

munufacturing fake viagra

The places fake Viagra are manufactured could resemble any building site across the world or any domestic kitchen in a suburban house.
Larger gangs of fake Viagra suppliers will use concrete mixers and large drums to manufacture millions of fake Viagra tablets a month.

With tablets costing as little as 20 cents to manufacture and then selling on the black market for as much as $40 each the rewards are great and the risks seem to be very low for these modern day criminals.

Smaller players to the market will manufacture fake Viagra tablets in their kitchen or even their garden shed.
These are some of the most dangerous fake Viagra suppliers because they will just use blue dye and any household items to make what resembles the legendary Viagra tablet.

Ashish Halai, Gary Haywood, Ashwin Patel and Zahid Mirza from the United Kingdom were major suppliers of fake Viagra until they were jailed for several charges ranging from supplying fake Viagra, right though to money laundering the proceeds of the dirty trade.

Georgio Patino, from Guadalajara, Mexico, Alpesh Patel, Rajendka Shah, Ketan Mehta from the UK will be facing a retrial early in 2008.

Mr Mehta was not cleared on the charges of supplying fake Viagra and will also be going for retrial next year.

This gang was different from the usual criminal gangs that sell fake Viagra.
This gang of hardened thieves ,con men, tricksters and asian scum were much more organised in the whole manufacture and distribution of the fake drugs.

The gang was operating globally and had people in almost every continent such as Britain, Dubai, Bahamas and the USA to name but a few.
Millions of dollars worth of profit were made from the deadly but lucrative trade which allowed the people involved to live luxury lifestyles in multi million dollar luxury mansions.

The fake Viagra and also some Fake Cialis pills were manufactured in makeshift factorys across Pakistan and China and then shipped to all parts of the world by couriers such as DHL disguised as dog worming pills to avoid suspicion.

The court that sentence the gang said “the rewards were immense for these people we see before the court today and they would make millions of dollars from each shipment”.

Thankfully these people are in jail and the supply may have slowed down for the moment.
There are more con men and hucksters in the world ready to step into their shoes and continue the dirty trade of fake Viagra.
