Was this an inside job?

The link in Google returns a 404 Page Not Found, but if you click on “Cached” you can see that it was redirected to www.canadapharmacyline.com, and if you turn off your JS, you can see the original ‘buy viagra’ spam page.

Maybe you can’t see the date in the snapshots.

This has all happened recently and the cache might not last long, so I took some snapshots.

Why am I making such a fuss about this? Isn’t this just another example of parasite hosting?

No! US Government sites are bad news cuz they are paranoid about terrorism. The person that did the above hijacking might have the FBI at the door the next day cuz if a .gov page can be redirected to a pharmacy, it could also have been used to install malware. (btw, the US FBI has branch offices outside of the US, so do not underestimate their reach).

Although tempting, avoid abusing .gov sites.
