An elderly man, 91 years of age, got a Viagra prescription from his doctor and then tried to rape a teeenage girl three times.

World War II veteran soldier George Price is now starting his four-year jail term.

Nottingham Crown Court heard that Price “had a degree of physical vigour beyond most men of his age”.

The court heard that Mr Price bought condoms and went to see his GP to ask for the sex drive drug, telling him he had a younger girlfriend. He then tried to have full sex with the girl who was in her early teens. The silver-haired World War Two veteran from Selston, Notts, claimed that the girl was sexually precocious and had led him on. He admitted three charges of attempted rape and six of indecent assault and was put on the sex offenders’ register for life.

Judge Joan Butler told him: “I have no alternative but to send you to prison.
