Internet Marketers Watch ‘Buy Viagra’ Spammers for Trends
8 10 2007
Savvy internet marketers are watching the ‘buy viagra’ search engine results in Google for marketing innovations and ranking trends.
Some learn from what the see:
Randfish at seomoz.org is one that observes and learns from the ‘buy viagra’ SERPs. This is obvious from his article: Parasite Hosting Now Dominating Spam Results where he explains “If you’re not familiar with the concept, parasite hosting refers to a spammer’s creation of a keyword targeted page on a strong, legitimate domain.”
and some just whine…
“this BLEEPING shit is pissing me off. god damn BLEEPING google and thier BLEEPING “trustrank” bullshit BLEEP! these spammy BLEEPING sites are taking over the god damn SERPs.” - kyleirwin at

Hey kyleirwin, try some decaf.
So what’s all the fuss?
“Buy viagra” is one of the few premier search terms, in that, there is huge demand for Viagra, it’s not cheap, (like Prozac, etc), and pharmacy affiliate commissions are lucrative, usually about 40% of the sale. Since just one bottle of Viagra 30 pills x 50 mg averages about $100.00, a marketer could earn an easy $40/day with just one sale per day, not too shabby for a single niche. The trick then becomes obtaining ‘buy viagra’ targeted traffic and that’s what separates the men from the boys.
