I was sort of making fun of one erectile dysfunction pill called Kamagra because I saw it offered in jelly form > Peanut Butter and Kamagra Jelly Sandwich. Kamagra contains Sildenafil citrate, the active ingredient in Pfizer’s Viagra. Keep in mind that Pfizer still has the US patent on Viagra, and that any offers of Sildenafil citrate are coming from countries that do not recognize US patents.

Actually, I would be more inclined to put the Kamagra jelly on just a slice of toast, rather than with peanut butter in a sandwich.

Anyways, until now, I was not aware what flavor the Kamagra jelly is offered.

This could be your big chance!

I’m going to give you my theory on how to rank in the top ten for ‘buy viagra’, (and many other phrases), in MSN’s Live.com search engine. Woot!

I will support my theory with an actual example taken from live.com ‘buy viagra’ SERPs.

However, let’s get the problems with Live.com out of the way first.

1. I have no idea how often Live.com updates it’s index, so you will just have to wait it out.

2. Live.com does not get a large piece of the pie when it comes to search traffic.

The good news is that visitors from Live.com convert much better than visitors from Yahoo or Google, well, that’s what I’ve been hearing for years. So, if you are doing pay per click, you are not going to make your fortune with Live.com, there’s just not enough traffic. However, if you are selling a higher priced item, like $50 or $100 per order, or more, you might do very, very well. These people surf with their credit card in their hand.

Ok, the victim subject of my analysis is www.buy-viagra.name.

They hold the #1 and #2 spots for ‘buy viagra’ in Live.com.

Unless things have changed, the .name extension is supposed to be for people’s names, like bompa.name, or joesmith.name, etc. So, when I see one like buy-viagra.name, I am suspicious immediately.

Anyways, I first viewed their page with my Firefox browser with the PageRank plugin. I understand that PageRank is Google’s thing and has nothing to do with the ranking algorithms other search engines, nevertheless, I wanted to see Google’s opinion of the “importance” of their homepage.

Their homepage is PR0.

So, I find it interesting that a page that Google thinks has zero importance would rank #1 and #2 in Live.com, afterall, Google’s PageRank is an objective, mathematical analysis of the value of incoming links relative to the entire web.

Next, I tried using Live.com to get a list of buy-viagra.name’s backlinks. (yah, right.)

“We did not find any results for linkdomain:buy-viagra.name.”

I tried using Live.com’s Advanced Search:

“We did not find any results for buy-viagra.name link:http://buy-viagra.name”

Finally, I gave up and decided to use Yahoo Explorer site to get a list of their backlinks.

According to Yahoo Explorer buy-viagra.name has about 980 incoming links. I noticed in the first ten a lot of links from pages that have ‘links’, ‘partners’, or ‘resources’, in the URL, leading me to believe that buy-viagra.name has joined a link exchange program and sure’nuff, at the bottom of their homepage is “Powered by LinkExchanged.com”.

Is this their secret?

No! More than likely they joined the link exchange hoping to get at least 1,000 links and therefore preventing snooping eyes (like me) from seeing their real linking secrets.

On the second page of Yahoo Explorer’s list of buy-viagra.name’s backlinks, I started to see a pattern in the names of the domains the links are coming from.

• buy-order-viagra.naturalpethealth.ca
• buy-cheapest-viagra.netcomltd.ca
• buy-viagra.bandfestvictoria.ca

I guess the pattern is pretty obvious, no wonder they tried to “wash” their links with the link exchange site. They have setup a network of sites that will all link to the main money site. Of course, they might all be inter linking back and forth, and buy-viagra.name just got lucky (of the bunch) by ranking #1 and #2, I dunno, I don’t have the patience to fully analyze their linking stucture.

This self-owned network of sites giving backlinks used to be common practice in Google as well, but I think when Google advanced in the SE market share (to over 50%), the whitehat webmasters started turning in (spam report), the interlinking networks; when Google’s traffic increased, the SERPs became worth fighting for. That’s my theory on that.

This post is getting way to long, so I will end by showing the IPs to which a few the above domain names resolve.

All on the same class C.

Visit a few of those sites and you will see that all the content and all the anchored text is 100% relevent to ‘buy viagra’.

So, that’s the formula.

Instead of hunting for related sites, then begging for a link, you create those related sites and then you control the content and the links. Why not? Is there a law against you owning a bunch of related portals? McDonalds, BurgerKing, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Sears, Walmart, etc. etc. It’s acually a normal business model.

Create as many as you like.

Sometimes it helps when I berate another site.

I wrote a post ( Where To Find All The ‘viagra’ Secrets! ), about other sites that are watching the viagra SERPs, (’viagra’, not ‘buy viagra’), and I briefly reviewed the top five. Irishwonder’s site was #4, but with only two posts about viagra. When he saw my post, he quickly, (and wisely), responded by updating his site with a new ‘viagra’ post.

Now, Mr Irishwonder’s blog, www.irishwonder.syndk8.co.uk, holds the #3 and #4 spots for ‘viagra serps’.

Of course, ‘viagra serps’ is not a search term meant to attract viagra buyers, but rather, to attract webmasters and internet marketers that are trying to learn from the viagra SERPs, and that is a lot of people.

Not all traffic comes from Google, so once in awhile I need to look at the SERPs in Yahoo, plus in every webmaster SEO forum that I read, people are always asking “How to rank in Yahoo?” and the answers usually suck.

Today, I decided to look at one of the best ‘buy viagra’ derivatives, ‘buy viagra online’.

‘Buy viagra online’ gets less queries than ‘buy viagra’, but the resulting traffic is a more targeted and it’s a bit easier to rank for ‘buy viagra online’.

So, how to rank in Yahoo?

Parasite one of the social sites that you see in Yahoo’s SERPs in the niche where you want to rank, do your best on-page SEO on that parasited page, get all the backlinks you can with your keyword as the anchored text, pray & wait a month or two.

I wrote briefly about “Google Approved Pharmacy” being in the Titles of Google’s ‘buy viagra’ SERPs once before ( Google Approved Viagra Pharmacy? ), but now I see that the problem of hijacking Google’s name and Google’s SERPs has escalated.

In my first post, it was countercurrents.org. At that time, their page was redirected to a pay per click search page at
www.webpharmastore.com/aff/sysfeed/feed_jupiter.php?keyword=viagra. Now countercurrents.org is not redirecting, instead, their page is full of political rants.

The site, gop3.com is using Google’s trusted name in order to get Google’s Viagra searchers to click on THEIR Viagra Title and snippet in Google’s SERPs, but then, the Google searcher is taken to gop3.com’s Republican political rant site. Republicans are manipulating Google’s SERPs in order to get it’s political message to men that are shopping for Viagra, mostly single males and males over age 50.

Of course, with over 300,000 pages indexed by Google, it’s not just the Viagra SERPs, it’s a ton of other pill keywords SERPs, all designed to get visitors from the best political demographics and using Google’s trusted name all the way.

Oh well, the republicans certainly got their hands on a savvy blackhat webmaster.

Shame the democrats are not savvy enough to file spam reports with Google.

The link in Google returns a 404 Page Not Found, but if you click on “Cached” you can see that it was redirected to www.canadapharmacyline.com, and if you turn off your JS, you can see the original ‘buy viagra’ spam page.

Maybe you can’t see the date in the snapshots.

Why am I making such a fuss about this? Isn’t this just another example of parasite hosting?

No! US Government sites are bad news cuz they are paranoid about terrorism. The person that did the above hijacking might have the FBI at the door the next day cuz if a .gov page can be redirected to a pharmacy, it could also have been used to install malware. (btw, the US FBI has branch offices outside of the US, so do not underestimate their reach).

Although tempting, avoid abusing .gov sites.

First of all, there might be a few new webmasters reading this that do not know what “short tail” and “long tail” mean. When I first saw the term being used on syndk8.net forum, I asked and I was given a link to some fuking bird page on wikipedi, sheesh. I was still in the dark.

However, if you look at the silhouette, (the side view, dummy!), of a bird, the tallest part of the bird, (it’s head, idiot!) represents the highest volume queries. As you follow down the birds sloping back, the queries become fewer, but the available keywords become greater. Does that make any sense?

You see, if the query in question is ’shoes’ and you add up all the query terms that are more specific, like, running shoes, jogging shoes, tennis shoes, hiking shoes, ladies shoes, etc, etc, you wind up with vastly more SE traffic than for just ’shoes’. Got it?

Getting back to ‘buy viagra’…

If you put quotes around ‘buy viagra’ and ‘buy viagra online’ for your search, about the same number of results are returned. That means just about everyone of those pages is trying to rank for that phrase.

According to just the total quantity of results, ‘buy viagra’ looks to be about three times more competitive than ‘buy viagra online’. Of course, it would bring three times as much traffic, (actually more), but, ‘buy viagra online’ is JUST ONE of the long tail keywords that could be targetted.

As a followup to How Many Backlinks To Rank For ‘buy viagra’?, here is the mathematical analysis of the age old question “How many backlinks?”.

Across the top is the PR that you are shooting for. The last column is the PR8 column. In the first row below the PR8 is 2,795,522. That’s how many PR1 ‘buy viagra’ anchored backlinks you will need to attain a PR8.

Once you have your PR8 page, you give links from that page to your ‘buy viagra’ money sites and you’ll be wealthy in a few days, (in theory).

If you are fortunate enough that all your ‘buy viagra’ anchored backlinks are PR2, you would only need 508,277 of them in order to attain a PR8 hub page.

Fascinating.

The question “How many backlinks do I need?” is probably asked dozens of times each week in all of the webmaster SEO forums.

The answer is always “It depends on blah, blah, blah”.

The problem is that the question is too vague.

However, if you were to ask: “I have a parasite page similar to a reddit.com profile page in trust, the pages’ title contains ‘buy viagra’, I have jammed the body of the page with ‘buy viagra’, all my backlinks will be anchored with ‘buy viagra’, and are PR0 on newly created or otherwise low-value hosts, how many backlinks will I need to rank in the top ten for ‘buy viagra’”, THEN, I could tell you fairly accurately;

five to ten thousand.

(btw, reddit.com pages don’t rank in ‘buy viagra’ and many other queries anymore.)

This past Thursday I posted: Parasite Hosted Pages Dominate Google’s ‘Buy Viagra’ Search Engine Results, and documented the top five pages in the ‘buy viagra’ SERPs. While my point was to show the effectiveness of parasite hosted pages, another critical factor has become evident, poor link building.

It’s only been four days and already the #1 site and the #2 site, www.answerbag.com/profile/?id=277823(#1 and #2 were the same domain, but with different URLs), are GONE from the top twenty! (I only checked the top 20 cuz below that, you earn no money, I know cuz I’ve been there LOL).

How can the #1 and #2 sites drop so quickly?

There are a few reasons in my theory:

1. The backlinks were obtained FAST leading Google’s algorithm to handle it as a breaking news story. When more linking did not follow in the next few days, the story died and so did it’s SERPs. This is called “the surge effect”.

2. Many of the backlinks were on busy guestbooks and as more entires were posted their entry got pushed down to pages with less and less importance.

3. Many of the backlinks were in forum posts and were deleted by the moderators.

4. Similar to the guestbook thing, posts on blogs do well at first, but most blogs display just ten posts per page, so after more and more posting, the post (and backlink) drops off the blog’s homepage and has only it’s permalink page to offer as juice.

It could be one of the above or any combination of them, and there are more possible reasons.

Have you never heard of Google’s Universal Search?

Last year Google announced that it would pick the top selections of various file formats, videos, images, .pdf’s, etc and include them in the regular, normal search results. (It’s not just about .html anymore.) You can read Danny Sullivan’s (whoever he is), explanation of this new Google feature or just search in Google, there are tons of posts about it.

Of course, the file would need to be considered important and relevent by Google’s algorithm.

Google calls this feature Universal Search and it’s Google’s way of keeping up with the Web 2.0 concept.

At the time when Universal Search was announced, a lot of webmasters were moaning and groaning, (mostly WH webmasters LOL), because they figured if more file formats are included, it will water down the SERPs, (read, push their beloved pages down) and they were right.

For most queries, you willl see at least one video, image, or .pdf in the top ten results. However, I did not see any of these in the top 100 for ‘buy viagra’. The door is wide open.

So, create a file in one of the alternative formats, give it a relevent filename, get some backlinks with the keyword in the anchor and you’re good to go.

No, I don’t mean compare the ‘buy viagra’ SERPs with the ‘buy cialis” SERPs, although now that I think of it that might be a good idea.

This Viagra vs Cialis comparison is for shoppers of erectile dysfunction medication, but some of this info could come in handy for viagra-cialis webmaster and internet marketers.

Success Rate: Both drugs work for approximately 70 percent of all men.

Side Effects: Both drugs share most of the same side effects.
